Bob Majeski

Bob Majeski

Bob Majeski joined the Stetson football program in 2015 and serves as the Hatters’ linebackers coach. He is a 30-year veteran of the coaching profession, and came to Stetson after two seasons as Assistant Head Coach/Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas.

Majeski brings a wealth o10166f knowledge to the defensive side of the ball having previously served as the defensive coordinator at Coffeyville Community College (2006-07) where he lead the No. 1 ranked defense in the Jayhawk Conference.

There is virtually no area on the football field that Majeski hasn’t coached. He started his career as a student assistant at Nebraska-Omaha (1985-86) where he coached offensive tackles, tight ends and receivers. He moved on to coach quarterbacks as a graduate assistant at Kearney State (1987-88).

From there he became offensive coordinator at Trinity Valley Community College (1989-90) before switching sides of the ball to serve as defensive coordinator at Rocky Mountain College (1990-91). He spent six seasons at Kansas Wesleyan (1991-96) where he served as assistant head coach, defensive coordinator, linebackers coach, special teams coordinator and associate AD.

Majeski moved on to Black Hills State in South Dakota in 1996 as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. He became the head coach there in 2000 and remained there though the 2002 season.

He served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Wayne State from 2003-05 and then became run game coordinator at Trinity Valley in 2005. After two seasons as defensive coordinator at Coffeyville, Majeski became head coach ad Associate AD at Dodge City Community College where he remained from 2007-12.

He was named Jayhawk Conference Coach of the Year for the 2010 football season.

Majeski played at Kansas State University from 1980-83 and also ran track. A native of Omaha, Majeski returned to home after his playing days at K-State to complete his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and his master’s from Kearney State College. 

Along with his wife, Cheryl, the couple has two daughters, Mandy and Maddison. He also has two stepchildren and five grandchildren.
