Stetson University Athletics

Jacob Behrns came to Stetson from Wayne State College in Nebraska and is in his fourth season with the Hatters.

Behrns coaches the Hatters’ receivers after coaching tight ends during his first year in 2014. 

Behrns, who is the cousin of Director of Football Operations Nolan Behrns, holds degrees from both the Arizona Culinary Institute and Wayne State, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Sport Management in May. He started his career as a student coach at Nebraska-Omaha while also working as the team video coordinator.

He worked as an assistant camp director at Wayne State before becoming tight ends coach there in 2011. He moved to coach running backs in 2013, all while serving as team video coordinator.

Behrns and his wife, Jill, a Creighton University grad and registered nurse, reside in DeLand.
