Jeremy Perkovich joined the Hatters’ coaching staff in July of 2018. A native of Auburn, Wash., Perkovich coaches the Stetson defensive line.
Perkovich, who played collegiately at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash., was a defensive assistant for coach Dale Lindsey at the University of San Diego in 2017. While helping the Toreros to an undefeated record in PFL play, he worked with both the defensive line and the linebackers.
His duties at USD included preparing film for team and staff meetings, preparing the defensive playbook and weekly game plan installation, opponent film break down and scouting, preparing the offensive scout team and coaching both offensive and defensive special teams units. The Toreros ranked 13th in the nation in scoring defense, 10th in rush defense and second in red zone defense during the 2017 season.
Prior to his year at USD, Perkovich worked at his alma mater as a defensive line coach following his playing career. In addition to working with the defensive line, he worked as assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Loggers.
As a player, Perkovich was a four-year letter winner for the Loggers, playing in 25 career games. He finished his playing career with 42 total tackles with four sacks. He was named team defensive lineman of the year in 2014.
He received his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts, in Kinesiology in 2015.
