Sophia Lewin joined the Stetson Football coaching staff in 2025 and serves as Wide Receivers Coach… Lewin brought experience from the NFL, NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II levels to DeLand after previously coaching the wide receivers at Kutztown University. Lewin became the first female position coach in Stetson Football history when they joined head coach Mike Jasper's staff… Their résumé includes experience with the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears along with collegiate stops at Kutztown, Princeton and Monmouth. At Stetson, Lewin works directly with the Hatters' wide receivers while contributing to the continued development of the passing game and overall offensive preparation. At Stetson, Lewin works directly with the Hatters' wide receivers after previously coaching the position for two seasons at Kutztown University. Their experience also includes offensive roles with the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears, giving Lewin exposure to receiver development and offensive preparation at both the collegiate and professional levels. Lewin entered their second season with Stetson in 2026, continuing to oversee a receiving group that has contributed to the growth of the Hatters' passing attack under offensive coordinator Jarod Dodson. Lewin's wide receivers have remained an important part of Stetson's offensive development during their time in DeLand. In the 2026 home-opening victory over Webber International, wide receiver Wyatt Rogers led the group with five receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown. Running back Troy Flowers also contributed 101 receiving yards and a touchdown out of the backfield as Stetson produced 318 yards through the air in the victory. Prior to joining Stetson, Lewin spent two seasons coaching the wide receivers at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. The opportunity provided Lewin with direct responsibility for developing a collegiate position group while continuing to build experience within an established NCAA Division II program. Their two seasons at Kutztown preceded the move to Stetson ahead of the 2025 season. Lewin's coaching background includes experience with three NFL organizations… Their first NFL opportunity came during the 2021 season when they worked as an offensive assistant with the Buffalo Bills. Lewin later earned a fellowship opportunity with the Dallas Cowboys in 2024 before being selected for the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Chicago Bears in 2025. Those opportunities provided experience working within NFL offensive systems and learning from professional coaches and players. In 2025, Lewin was selected for the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Chicago Bears. Working with the Bears' tight ends, Lewin continued building NFL coaching experience while learning within a professional position room. The opportunity marked their second NFL fellowship experience and third overall NFL organization. Lewin added another NFL opportunity in 2024 through a fellowship with the Dallas Cowboys. The experience followed their previous work with the Buffalo Bills and continued a coaching path that has included opportunities at both the professional and collegiate levels. Lewin spent the 2021 season with the Buffalo Bills as an offensive assistant. The position represented their first NFL coaching opportunity and provided experience within a professional offensive operation. After the season in Buffalo, Lewin returned to the collegiate game and continued building their coaching résumé. Lewin's coaching career also included multiple roles at Princeton University. They initially served as a quality control coach during the 2020-21 period before returning to Princeton as senior assistant to the head coach in 2022. Those responsibilities provided experience in football operations, preparation and coaching support within an FCS program. From 2023-25, Lewin also worked with the Tropical Bowl, coaching tight ends and contributing on special teams. The opportunity allowed Lewin to work with college football prospects while continuing to develop experience evaluating and coaching players from programs across the country. Lewin began coaching football at Wayne Hills High School in New Jersey before continuing their career at Monmouth University. At Monmouth, Lewin spent three years as a student assistant and worked under wide receivers coach TJ DiMuzio… The experience helped establish a coaching career that would later include opportunities at Princeton, Kutztown, Stetson and three NFL organizations. Lewin became the first female position coach in Stetson Football history when they joined the Hatters in 2025. The milestone accompanied a coaching résumé already built through opportunities at the high school, collegiate and professional levels… At Stetson, Lewin's focus remains on developing the Hatters' wide receivers and contributing to the continued growth of the program. Lewin graduated from Monmouth University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in sociology.
