His father played college football at the University of Alabama from 1996-99, earning All-SEC honors three times
He was selected in the first round of the 1999 NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars and played 10 seasons in the NFL, spending time with the Jags (5 years), Lions (4 years) and Steelers (1 year), retiring in 2009
Has a cousin, Cameron Bryant, who is a member of the basketball team at Georgia Southern
