Transferred to the University of South Dakota following his sophomore season.
Sophomore (2016-17): Saw action in eight events, posting a 76.87 scoring average over 23 rounds of competition ... Posted rounds of 73 three times for his best efforts of the fall ... Finished fifth at the SSU Tiger Fall Invitational with a nine-over par score of 225 ... Had a season-best 72 in the opening round of the Frontier Secure Intercollegiate on his way to a nine-over par 222, good for a tie for 26th.
Summer (2016): Competed in four events in Canada ... Tied for 12th in the Alberta Open, while also finishing tied for fifth among amateur players ... Finished fourth overall in the match play portion of the event ...Finished with a four-over par score of 292 (73-73-74-72) in the Alberta Amateur to finish 13th, earning a spot in the Canadian Amateur ... Captured the title at the Peace Country Open Match Play, winning three straight matches to take the title ... Finished that event 12-under par with just one bogey over three rounds ... Missed the cut at the Canadian Amateur after a bad back nine in the first round ... Posted scores of 75 and 76 in the Canadian national championship event.
