Eddie Jimenez enters his fifth season with the Stetson men's soccer program after being promoted to associate head coach in the summer of 2026... Since arriving in DeLand ahead of the 2022 season, Jimenez has played a pivotal role in establishing the Hatters as one of the ASUN Conference's top programs... Helped guide Stetson to four consecutive seasons with six or more victories and the 2024 ASUN Regular Season Championship... Has also contributed to the development of multiple ASUN major award winners, All-ASUN selections and United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees... In addition to his collegiate responsibilities, Jimenez serves on the coaching staffs of Puerto Rico's U17, U20 and Senior Men's National Teams. Helped guide the Hatters to a 6-8-3 overall record and an ASUN Championship First Round victory over Central Arkansas... Marked Stetson's fourth consecutive season with six or more victories... Worked with Andres Mata and Zsombor Pall, who earned Second Team All-ASUN honors... Helped develop freshmen Israel Daniels and Valentin Fontaine into ASUN All-Freshman Team selections. Helped Stetson capture the ASUN Regular Season Championship, the program's first conference title since 2017... The Hatters finished unbeaten in league play at 3-0-4 and 5-6-6 overall... Worked closely with Charles Ahl, who earned ASUN Player of the Year and United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors... Assisted in the development of Clarence Loriot, the ASUN Defensive Player of the Year and an All-Region selection... Supported Nicolo Radaelli during a standout season that resulted in ASUN Goalkeeper of the Year honors... Played a role in six players earning All-ASUN recognition, including two members of the All-Freshman Team. Helped Stetson finish 7-7-4 overall with a 5-2-2 mark at home... Contributed to a 2-0 shutout victory over NC State and a 3-1 win over eventual ASUN champion Lipscomb... Helped guide the Hatters to a dominant 7-0 result against St. Thomas... Mentored freshman Xavi Csato, who was named ASUN Freshman of the Year... Played a role in Luis Lara, Andres Mata and Alvaro Gabancho earning First Team All-ASUN honors... Worked closely with Second Team All-ASUN selection Charles Ahl... Helped develop Afonso Conde, Xavi Csato and Ross Appolon into ASUN All-Freshman Team honorees. In his first season at Stetson, helped the Hatters finish 6-3-7 while losing just three matches all year and posting a 4-1 record against in-state opponents... Assisted in victories over South Florida, FGCU, North Florida and Jacksonville... Helped orchestrate a 6-0 home victory over FGCU, the program's highest-scoring match since 2014... Supported five players who earned Second Team All-ASUN recognition and two All-Freshman selections... Assisted in Gio Rodriguez earning ASUN All-Tournament and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team honors... Helped freshman Andres Mata earn All-Region Third Team recognition. Jimenez has served with the Puerto Rico Football Federation since 2023, working with the country's national teams at multiple levels... Serves as head coach of the Puerto Rico U17 Men's National Team... Also works as an assistant coach with the Puerto Rico U20 Men's National Team and as an assistant coach and scout with the Senior Men's National Team... Was part of the staff that helped Puerto Rico earn promotion to League B in the Concacaf Nations League... Helped the senior national team lead all Concacaf Nations League programs with 22 goals scored. Before arriving in DeLand, Jimenez served as a volunteer assistant at UCF from 2020-21... Was part of the coaching staff during the Knights' run to the 2021 Spring American Athletic Conference championship... Helped UCF advance to the NCAA Tournament's third round. Represented the Puerto Rico Senior National Team from 2013-15... Played professionally with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the NASL from 2012-13... Played collegiately at UCF from 2009-12, serving as a four-year starter in the midfield... Helped lead the Knights to back-to-back NCAA Tournament second-round appearances in 2010 and 2011... Began his collegiate career at Villanova University during the 2008-09 season... Also represented Puerto Rico at the U17, U20 and U23 national-team levels from 2006-10. Earned a Bachelor of Science in organizational communication from the University of Central Florida in 2012.
