A native of Dunedin, Fla., Jonathan Adams begins his third season as an assistant coach at Stetson.
Before arriving in DeLand, Adams enjoyed coaching stints at Hofstra University and Mars Hill University. Adams graduated from Mars Hill in 2006 with a degree in Sports Management, and received his Master’s in Kinesiology from Texas-Permian Basin in 2011.
Adams also has extensive experience as a youth soccer coach over the last 15 years, serving as a Director of Coaching for two prominent youth soccer clubs – Massapequa Soccer Club in New York and the Dallas Texans Soccer Club in Texas. Currently Adams serves as a youth head coach for the Orlando City SC Youth Academy.
Professionally, Adams has earned a B License from the USSF as well as a Premier Diploma and an Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma from the NSCAA.
He is married to Stetson volleyball head coach Kristina Hernandez.
