Matthew Alexander joined the Stetson men's tennis program as a volunteer assistant in October, 2020.

Alexander joins the Hatters after a successful playing career at Webber International University in Babson Park, Fla. He graduated last spring.

"It is always special when we can add another passionate staff member that truly loves coaching, developing players, and building relationships," head coach Christophe Noblet said. "Matt will do a great job for us this year, and the players will learn so much from having him around."

A native of Bath, England, Alexander won 33 singles matches in three seasons at Webber, and one season Davis & Elkins College. He reached the Florida Sun Conference semifinals in 2019, and was a YTF Singles finalist the same year. In 2017, he was a finalist in the Auburndale Clay Court Championships.

"I'm so happy to have this opportunity to work with such a terrific group of players and coaches where the passion and appreciation to be a part of this team is so genuine," Alexander said. "The program is in an incredible position to continue to grow through the team's core values, which will allow us to reach our potential and go even further. I'm excited to get to work."

Alexander is currently a coach with the John Hudson Tennis Academy in Daytona Beach.
