Demetrius Weaver came to Stetson in October 2021 from Bethune-Cookman, where he has served as Academic & Tutorial Services Coordinator for the two years. A former student-athlete and double graduate from B-CU, Weaver was a two-time Academic All-MEAC player for the Wildcats' football program.

A native of Pompano Beach, Weaver received the Nike Post-Graduate Scholarship Award from the MEAC and was also the recipient of the BeyGood Scholarship from Beyoncé. He received both his undergraduate and Master's degree in Criminal Justice, completing his Master's program with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

While working toward his Master's degree, he worked as a GA in the Office of Student-Athlete Services, working with both academics and compliance to ensure student-athlete eligibility. He took on a full-time role in August of 2019 with his efforts including NCAA Eligibility certification, student-athlete academic progress, coordinating study halls and tutorial services and focusing on at-risk students.
