Former ASA national champion coach Franklin Drury is in his fifth season as an assistant coach at Stetson University.

Drury began coaching in 2006 for the Port Orange Blazers travel team. He served as an assistant coach for four years, during which time the Blazers won a state championship. 

Drury then became an assistant coach for the Central Florida Sting-Black from Orlando, Fla. in the summer of 2009. He held an assistant position on the Sting until fall of 2011, when he took over as the program's head coach. During this time, the Sting won several state championships and one national championship - an ASA U18 title in 2012 in Johnson City, Tenn.

Drury also served as a volunteer assistant coach for Taylor Middle-High School in Pierson, Fla. from 2010-13.  He graduated from St. John's River State in 1984.  He is the father of former Hatter all-conference performer Kayla Drury.
