Kristynn Knight joined the Stetson women’s basketball staff as a graduate assistant ahead of the 2026-27 season following a four-year playing career under head coach Melissa DeVore at Coker University.
A three-year starter for the Cobras, Knight helped lead Coker through the most successful stretch in program history. She was part of back-to-back NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and conference championship teams, including the Cobras’ run to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in 2025 and South Atlantic Conference Tournament championship in 2026.
Knight earned Second Team All-South Atlantic Conference honors as a senior after averaging 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. She closed the regular season by scoring in double figures in seven of her final eight contests, highlighted by a career-high-tying 21 points against Emory & Henry.
As a junior in 2024-25, Knight appeared in all but three games and made three starts while serving primarily as Coker’s sixth player. She averaged 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game and scored a season-high 15 points against No. 6 North Georgia in the NCAA Southeast Regional semifinal.
Knight started all 28 games during her sophomore season, averaging 8.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals across 25.4 minutes per game. She appeared in 26 contests and made 25 starts as a freshman, contributing 5.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.8 steals per game.
A two-time South Atlantic Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection, Knight also distinguished herself academically during her time at Coker.
The Winston-Salem, North Carolina, native attended Winston-Salem Christian School, where she was a four-year varsity player and three-year starter. Knight scored more than 1,000 career points and was recognized as a three-star prospect by ESPNW HoopGurlz. She earned team MVP, Most Impactful Player, First Team All-Region, all-county and all-conference honors while helping her team capture a SCISA 3A state championship.
Knight also competed for the SC 76ers on the AAU circuit. Away from the court, she was named a Scholar-Athlete, earned Principal’s List recognition and participated in Spanish Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
She is the daughter of Lynn Tyler and Michael Knight.
