USF alumnus Tim Sylver begins his second season as an assistant coach at Stetson University.
Sylver comes to Stetson after serving five seasons as the video coordinator for the USF women's basketball program. While there, Sylver managed all areas of the team's video requirements, including developing player film sessions, breaking down opponent game film, creating scouts, analyzing recruit videos and editing USF highlight packages.
In addition, Sylver oversaw the program's community service efforts, helping USF student-athletes log over 100 service hours in the 2018-19 academic year. He was also the team's liaison for Enhancing U, a program that helped USF students prepare for their future after college.
Sylver was also responsible for hiring and training student managers and overseeing the practice squad. He helped organize and operating Jose Fernandez’s Coaches Clinic and other team camps.
In addition to his time with the women's program, Sylver also spent one season as the video coordinator for the men's basketball team.
Sylver graduated from USF with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 2013. He also served as a student assist with the women's basketball program for four seasons, rising to the level of head student manager. He also holds an Associate's Degree from Edison State College.
A native of Punta Gorda, Fla., Sylver graduated from Charlotte High School in 2008. He has a son, Will.
