- Mother, Julie, played D1 college volleyball at Saint Mary's College of California. Grandfather, Ed, played 3 sports for the North Carolina Tar Heels (football, basketball, track and field). Ed also played 5 seasons in the NFL for Washington, New York Giants, and the Green Bay Packers
