    5th Season

Teresa Brown is in her fifth season leading the Stetson women’s golf program, guiding the Hatters into consistent contention within the ASUN Conference. Brown joined the program as a volunteer assistant during the 2021-22 season before being elevated to head coach, and has since overseen one of the most successful stretches in program history.

In her first full season at the helm in 2022-23, Brown began laying the foundation for the program’s rise, emphasizing consistency and depth throughout the lineup. The Hatters posted a 302.97 team scoring average while establishing a competitive identity that would carry into future seasons, finishing the year ranked No. 159.

That foundation translated into immediate results in 2023-24, as Stetson captured two tournament victories and added a runner-up finish. The Hatters posted a 300.61 scoring average, one of the top marks in program history, and climbed to No. 116 in the final Scoreboard rankings. The season was also highlighted by a program-record round of 282 in the second round of the ASUN Championship. Brown coached Wendy Hsaio to Third Team All-ASUN honors, marking the beginning of a strong run of individual recognition within the program.

The 2024-25 season marked another significant step forward, as the Hatters delivered one of the top campaigns in program history. Stetson captured two tournament victories and recorded five top-three finishes, including a runner-up finish at the ASUN Championship where the Hatters narrowly fell in a playoff. The team posted a 296.87 scoring average, one of the lowest in program history outside of the shortened 2019-20 season.

Individually, Brown coached Isaki Sakashita to ASUN Freshman of the Year honors — the program’s first recipient since 2010 — while also earning First Team All-ASUN recognition. Filippa Jansson added Second Team All-ASUN honors, giving Stetson multiple all-conference performers in the same season.

The Hatters have continued that momentum into the 2025-26 season, capturing four tournament titles and consistently competing at the top of leaderboards. Stetson has produced multiple individual champions and weekly conference award winners, while climbing as high as No. 86 in the Scoreboard rankings.
