Madison Jones joined the Stetson Women's Soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach following a collegiate playing career that included stops at Kentucky and Florida… A native of Longwood, Fla., Jones brings recent Power 4 playing experience, a strong Central Florida soccer background and an emerging player-development perspective to the Hatters. Jones works alongside head coach Jamie Souza and the rest of the Stetson staff in the day-to-day development of the program… Her role includes assisting with training, player development, preparation and program operations while helping the Hatters continue building within the ASUN Conference. Jones began her collegiate coaching career at Stetson immediately following the conclusion of her playing career… Her recent experience competing in the Southeastern Conference provides the Hatters with firsthand knowledge of the demands of high-level Division I soccer. At Stetson, Jones assists with training, player development, preparation and the continued growth of the program… Her ability to relate directly to current student-athletes provides another valuable perspective within the coaching staff. Jones completed her collegiate playing career at the University of Florida… She appeared in every match during the 2024 season and made 13 starts in the midfield. She continued to play a key role for the Gators in 2025, recording two goals and one assist while earning Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition. Her time at Florida provided extensive experience competing at the Power 4 level and helped shape the perspective she now brings into coaching. Jones began her collegiate career at the University of Kentucky… She appeared in all 18 matches during her freshman season and made four starts for the Wildcats. She scored two goals during her debut collegiate campaign, including the game-tying goal against Florida. Her experience at Kentucky provided her first exposure to SEC competition before she transferred to Florida to continue her collegiate career. A standout at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, Fla., Jones was one of Central Florida's top prep players. As a senior, she recorded 20 goals and 10 assists while earning Orlando Sentinel All-Central Florida Player of the Year and Seminole Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors. Jones also earned ECNL Southeast All-Conference recognition and participated in the ECNL id2 National Training Camp. Jones' transition into coaching allows her to draw directly from a recent playing career at two SEC programs… Her experience as a midfielder at Kentucky and Florida provides a foundation in technical development, tactical understanding and the day-to-day preparation required at the Division I level. At Stetson, Jones works directly with the Hatters' student-athletes while continuing to develop her own coaching philosophy and experience. Jones began her collegiate coaching career at Stetson following the conclusion of her playing career… Her role with the Hatters includes training, player development, team preparation and program operations. Jones graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in Health Education and Behavior… She is pursuing a master's degree in Management.
