Jake Devries

Jake DeVries

  • Jacob DeVries joined the Stetson sports medicine staff in July of 2022
  • His primary duties are with the Hatters' women's soccer and women's lacrosse teams
  • A native of Greenwood, Ind., DeVries is a double graduate from Indiana University
    • He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience in 2020
    • He completed a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the IU CAATE Accredited Professional Athletic Training Program
  • While working on his master's degree, DeVries worked with the Hoosiers' women's soccer and wrestling programs
  • He also went through spring practice with the Indiana football team and worked with the men's and women's swimming & diving and water polo teams in addition to the men's soccer team
  • Outside of athletics, he worked with the Jacob's School of Music with the performers in the women's ballet company
  • DeVries holds a certification in Sports Manual Therapy
  • He is certified by the American Red Cross in First Aid and CPR/AED
  • He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association
