Brandon Brewer returned to Stetson Baseball as recruiting coordinator ahead of the 2027 season, beginning his second stint with the Hatters after spending five seasons on the coaching staff at the University of Miami... Brewer previously served on the Stetson staff from 2017-21, working primarily with the program's infielders and hitters.

During Brewer's first stint in DeLand, he was part of one of the most successful stretches in program history, highlighted by Stetson's run to the 2018 NCAA Super Regionals... Worked with the Hatters' infielders and hitters while also coaching first base... Helped oversee a strong defensive unit, with Stetson posting the second-best fielding percentage in the ASUN in 2021 after leading the conference in fielding percentage during his first season with the program. Brewer's return also reunites him with head coach Shane Gierke, continuing a relationship that dates back to their time at the University of West Florida... Gierke recruited and coached Brewer during his playing career with the Argonauts, including West Florida's run to the 2011 NCAA Division II National Championship.

Brewer spent five seasons as an assistant coach at Miami after joining the Hurricanes prior to the 2022 season... Worked primarily with Miami's infielders and hitters while continuing to build a reputation as a high-level player developer.

PLAYING CAREER
A native of Apopka, Fla., Brewer enjoyed a decorated collegiate career at the University of West Florida... Batted .390 as a senior in 2011 while starting all 61 games at shortstop and helping lead the Argonauts to the NCAA Division II National Championship... Scored 55 runs, drove in 36 and stole 20 bases during the championship season. Earned All-Region recognition from the D2CCA, ABCA and NCBWA in 2011... Named a Second Team All-American by the NCBWA and Daktronics... Two-time Rawlings Gold Glove Award recipient in 2009 and 2011.

Over four seasons at West Florida, Brewer hit .316 while starting 224 of 225 games... Scored 179 runs, drove in 122 and stole 58 bases... Finished his collegiate career ranked among the program's top 10 in hits, runs, RBI, total bases, stolen bases, walks and assists. Following his senior season, Brewer was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the 36th round of the 2011 MLB Draft... Spent two seasons in the Angels' minor league system, playing with the Orem Owlz and Inland Empire 66ers.
BASEBALL ROOTS
Brewer's baseball roots in Central Florida date back to his childhood in Apopka... Helped lead Apopka Little League to the 2001 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.... Apopka captured the United States Championship before finishing as the Little League World Series runner-up to Japan. Played on the championship team for his father, Bobby Brewer, continuing a family tradition deeply rooted in Central Florida baseball.
