At Stetson
Joined the Stetson External Operations staff as Assistant Director of Development and Corporate Fulfillment in September of 2022. Within four months at Stetson University, Jon Hansen was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing, Sponsorship, and Community Outreach starting in January 2023.
He now oversees sponsorship and community outreach for Hatter Athletics programs and assists with marketing and promotions.
Jon also oversaw the Hatter Athletic Fund (HAF) and was responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of all aspects of the annual fund, including assisting with annual fund campaigns, coordinating and overseeing annual fund stewardship and benefit programs, and creating and maintaining reports and tracking systems.
During his time with the HAF, Jon led the efforts of the 2022 Annual Giving Week Challenge, which received a record high in total donations, surpassing the previous year's record by 15%.
Since moving into his current role, Jon has helped double Stetson's sponsorship revenue, secured a seven-figure corporate naming rights deal for the basketball arena inside the Edmunds Center (Insight Credit Union Arena), and successfully renewed key corporate partnerships — including doubling the value of Stetson's exclusive healthcare sponsorship. He manages a sponsorship portfolio that includes nearly 40 corporate partners.
Prior to Stetson
Worked as an Academic Integrity Administrator at Texas A&M University from November 2021 to September 2022.
- Prepared and updated complex, technical, and confidential case files.
- Coordinated Aggie Honor System Office hearings and investigations for assigned cases.
- Served as case presenter to Honor Council hearing panels for assigned cases.
Served as a Graduate Assistant for Compliance & Game Management while completing his master's degrees at Chadron State College from July 2020 to October 2022.
- Helped maintain NCAA Compliance for 13 Division II varsity teams.

Education
    Bachelor's degree in Sports and Recreation Management with an emphasis in Sports Leadership and Exercise Science, and a minor in Business from Chadron State College, 2020.

    Master of Organizational Management with a focus in Sports Management from Chadron State College, 2021.

Personal Information
Son of Jon P. and Laura Hansen. His father, Jon P. Hansen, is a native of DeLand, FL, graduated from DeLand High School, and is an alum of Stetson University, Class of 1990. Jon currently resides in DeLand, FL with his wife Abigial, who is an Athletic Trainer at Stetson University serving the Football and Beach Volleyball teams.Â
