At Stetson, Dixon works with the Hatters' nickel position as part of the defensive staff… His experience competing at the SEC level and evaluating professional prospects provides a broad perspective on player development, preparation and talent evaluation. That combination allows Dixon to bring an offensive understanding to his work with defensive backs while also drawing on his scouting experience when evaluating technique, athletic traits and overall player development. Dixon's first season on the Stetson staff began in 2026 as the Hatters continued building the program under Jasper. Stetson earned its first victory of the season with a 45-10 win over Webber International in the home opener at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium… The Hatters limited Webber to 185 total yards and only 46 yards through the air while keeping the Warriors scoreless through the first three quarters. Dixon walked onto the University of Florida football program in 2014 and went on to earn a full athletic scholarship… Primarily a wide receiver, he also established a role on special teams and contributed to consecutive SEC Eastern Division championship teams. Florida captured SEC East titles during Dixon's time with the program, and his development from walk-on to scholarship player became one of the defining stories of his collegiate career. His leadership was recognized during his final season when teammates selected him as one of three team captains in 2015. Dixon's path at Florida was defined by development and leadership… After joining the program as a walk-on, he earned a scholarship and eventually became a team captain. His time with the Gators placed him inside one of college football's most competitive environments, giving him experience preparing alongside and competing against high-level talent on a daily basis. That background now provides another foundation for his work with Stetson student-athletes as he helps develop players within the Hatters' secondary. Before transferring to Florida, Dixon attended Stillman College on an academic scholarship. Playing wide receiver, he earned Freshman All-Conference recognition in 2012 before eventually continuing his collegiate career with the Gators. Following his collegiate playing career, Dixon gained experience evaluating football talent as an NFL Draft scout with NDT Scouting from 2016-18. The role provided experience studying prospects, evaluating athletic traits and understanding how players are assessed during the professional scouting process. Combined with his playing background, Dixon's scouting experience gives him another perspective when working with Stetson's student-athletes and evaluating player development. Away from football, Dixon built a successful career in Florida's real estate and mortgage industry. Using his finance background and the discipline developed during his playing career, Dixon became a President's Club mortgage loan officer and spent approximately a decade working within Florida's real estate market before returning to football. His professional experience outside athletics gives him an additional perspective on leadership, communication and career development. Dixon earned a degree in finance after beginning his college career at Stillman College and continuing his education and football career at the University of Florida. A native of Sanford, Fla., Dixon and his wife, Christina, are high school sweethearts and have three children — Delilah, Tina and Roger III.
