Roger Dixon

Roger Dixon, a Sanford, FLa. native, joined Stetson’s football staff as an assistant defensive line coach in spring 2026.

Dixon walked onto University of Florida’s 2014 football team, where he earned a full athletic scholarship. Primarily a wide receiver, he made his mark on special teams, taking pride in doing the dirty work that helped UF capture the 2014 and 2015 SEC Eastern Division titles. A testament to his leadership, he was voted one of three team captains in 2015 on a roster that featured 29 future NFL players.

Prior to UF, Dixon attended Stillman College on an academic scholarship, where he earned Freshman All-Conference honors as a wide receiver in 2012.

He later applied his Finance degree and the discipline developed through football to build a successful career as a President’s Club mortgage loan officer, focusing on Florida’s real estate market for the past decade.

Dixon also brings valuable personnel experience, having worked as an NFL Draft scout with NDT Scouting from 2016 to 2018, along with a strong understanding of finance and player contracts.

Now returning to his first passion, Dixon is eager to contribute to the game that shaped him. “I’ve always had a passion for football because so many of life’s lessons can be learned through the game.”

Dixon and his wife, Christina, his high school sweetheart, have three children: Delilah, Tina, and Roger III. In his free time, he enjoys family breakfasts, washing his car, and spending time outdoors. He lives by the motto: “Put others first and you’ll never be second.”
