Teresa Brown is in her fifth season leading the Stetson Women's Golf program after initially joining the Hatters as a volunteer assistant during the 2021-22 season… Since taking over as head coach, Brown has guided Stetson through one of the strongest stretches in program history, highlighted by eight tournament victories, a runner-up finish at the 2025 ASUN Championship and continued improvement in team scoring and national ranking. Brown has helped establish Stetson as a consistent contender within the ASUN while developing multiple All-Conference performers, an ASUN Freshman of the Year and numerous weekly conference award winners. Brown's first full season as head coach came in 2022-23, when Stetson began establishing greater consistency and depth throughout its lineup… The Hatters finished the season with a 302.97 team scoring average and closed the year ranked No. 159. The program took another significant step forward in 2023-24… Stetson captured two tournament victories and added a runner-up finish while lowering its team scoring average to 300.61. The Hatters also climbed to No. 116 in the final Scoreboard rankings and set a program record with a round of 282 during the second round of the ASUN Championship. The 2024-25 season marked one of the strongest campaigns of Brown's tenure… Stetson captured two tournament victories and recorded five top-three finishes before finishing runner-up at the ASUN Championship. The Hatters narrowly missed the conference title in a playoff while posting a 296.87 team scoring average, one of the lowest marks in program history outside of the shortened 2019-20 season. Individually, Isaki Sakashita was named ASUN Freshman of the Year, becoming Stetson's first recipient of the award since 2010… Sakashita also earned First Team All-ASUN honors, while Filippa Jansson was selected Second Team All-ASUN. Stetson continued its success during the 2025-26 season, capturing four tournament titles and consistently competing near the top of tournament leaderboards… The Hatters produced multiple individual champions and conference weekly award winners while climbing as high as No. 86 in the Scoreboard rankings. The four victories continued a stretch of tournament success that brought Stetson's total to eight wins during Brown's tenure. Individual recognition has accompanied Stetson's team improvement throughout Brown's tenure… Wendy Hsaio earned Third Team All-ASUN honors during the 2023-24 season, beginning a strong run of conference recognition for the program. The following season, Sakashita was named ASUN Freshman of the Year and First Team All-ASUN… Jansson added Second Team All-ASUN honors, giving Stetson multiple All-Conference selections in the same season. Brown's tenure has also included six ASUN Golfer of the Week honors as the Hatters have continued developing both individual standouts and greater depth throughout the lineup. Prior to leading the Hatters, Brown spent more than a decade as an instructor and coach within the Orange County Public School system… Also spent one year as Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Development at UCF. Her background in coaching, education and student-athlete development has carried into her work with the Stetson Women's Golf program, where she has emphasized consistency, individual growth and competitive development. Brown was a four-year letterwinner at the University of Mississippi, competing collegiately for the Ole Miss women's golf program… Her experience as a collegiate golfer provided a foundation for her eventual transition into coaching and student-athlete development. Brown earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi in 2001… Later earned a master's degree in student affairs from Nova Southeastern University in 2015.
