Stetson women's soccer midfielder
Bethany Kiedis was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Kiedis scored the game-winning goal in Sunday's 2-0 win over East Tennessee State and was also responsible for Stetson's goal Friday in a 1-1 tie with Kennesaw State.
Kiedis is the first Hatter to take home a Player of the Week award this year. Last season
Kelly Kuenning and
April Eilering took home the Offensive and Defensive awards the same week.
The Hatters opened up Atlantic Sun play with a 1-0-1 record thanks in large part to efforts of Kiedis. The sophomore from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. has now scored in three straight games overall and includes two game-winning goals, which ties her for the conference lead.
Gardner-Webb's Sarah Wyszynski won Defensive Player of the Week after recording back-to-back shutouts in goal. Wyszynski and the Bulldogs will be the Hatters next opponent Thursday, September 28 at 7:00 PM in Boiling Springs, N.C.
