DeLand, Fla. — After opening ASUN play with a tough loss, the Stetson women's soccer team looks to bounce back on the road when it travels to Carrollton, Ga., to face West Georgia on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7:00 p.m. before heading to Charlotte to meet Queens on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 1:00 p.m.
The Hatters enter the two-match trip with a 3–7 record and are eager to get back in the win column. Ten different players have scored for Stetson this season, underscoring the team's balanced attack from all areas of the field. Eight Hatters have also recorded an assist, with Brooke Voorhees leading the squad with two. In goal, Riley Tarvin has started the last five matches, making 13 saves.
West Georgia opened ASUN play with back-to-back losses — 3–0 to North Florida and 5–0 to Jacksonville. Kaylen Brown and Noemi Casique share the team lead with two goals apiece, while goalkeeper Emily Sanabria has drawn most of the starts, compiling 65 saves over 810 minutes this season.
Queens (1–6–3) also dropped its first two ASUN contests, falling 6–0 to Jacksonville and 2–1 to North Florida. The Royals will face FGCU before hosting Stetson on Sunday. Helena Merkle leads Queens with two goals, while four players are tied with one assist each. Hannah Dike-Lawlor has handled the bulk of the minutes in goal, making 41 saves across nearly 759 minutes of action.
