Hatters Return Home to Host North Florida and Jacksonville in ASUN Play

DeLand, Fla. — Stetson women's soccer looks to build momentum from its 1–0 victory over Queens as the Hatters return home to host North Florida on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7:00 p.m. and Jacksonville on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 1:00 p.m.

The Hatters enter the two-match homestand with a 4–8 record after securing the win in Charlotte. Freshman goalkeeper Mackenzie Caprez, making just her second collegiate appearance, recorded her first career shutout and victory. Avery Wise provided the difference with a 16th-minute goal, her second of the season, while the Stetson defense held firm to preserve the clean sheet. Ten other Hatters have also scored this season, showcasing the team's balanced attack. Brooke Voorhees continues to lead the team in assists with two. In her two starts, Caprez has made nine saves while posting a .750 save percentage and a 1.45 goals-against average.

North Florida comes into Thursday's match 4–6–2 overall and 2–1 in ASUN play after falling 2–1 to Jacksonville in its most recent outing. Isabella Pontieri and Allie Fekany share the team lead with five goals each, while Pontieri also has seven assists for a team-best 17 points. In goal, Chrissa Avery has a 2–3 record with 28 saves, a .718 save percentage, and a 2.18 goals-against average.

Jacksonville enters the weekend with a 6–3–1 record and a perfect 3–0 mark in conference play. The Dolphins will first visit FGCU before traveling to DeLand. Alicia Rey Perez leads the attack with eight goals and two assists for 18 points, while Manuela Restrepo has six goals and a team-high six assists, also totaling 18 points. Goalkeeper Pia Bozic has started nine matches, going 5–3–1 with a .630 save percentage and a 1.33 goals-against average.
