Recovery for the Stetson Crew team continues this weekend and you can help. With the Stetson Sprints less than two weeks away, a major cleaning effort is planned from 12:00-4:00 Saturday afternoon.
The February 2nd tornado that caused substantial damage throughout central Florida left the Stetson Crew site at Lake Beresford with a 100% loss. Teams from all over the country have donated equipment and others are holding fundraisers to help the Hatters compete in 2007. There is still significant work that needs to be done in clearing the site and this Saturday is the perfect time for volunteers to contribute to the recovery effort.
It is advised that those interested wear protective clothing, long jeans, closed-toed shoes, and gloves. The large trees have been cleared but there is still much to do. There is no need to RSVP, simply arrive at Lake Beresford with a willing attitude this Saturday (February 17) at noon.
