DeLand, Fla. - Following a 3-1 week that included a series win over LSU, the Stetson baseball team was rewarded with both the Atlantic Sun Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week. On Monday, the conference office announced Shane Jordan as the Player of the Week and Corey Kluber as Pitcher of the Week.
Â
Jordan batted a scorching .667, with 10 hits in 15 at bats. He scored nine runs in the four games and was successful in all three of his stolen base attempts. The outfielder from Sarasota, Fla. also drew two walks and was hit by two pitches to post a .737 on-base percentage.Â
Â
Kluber won the Friday night match-up against LSU to improve his season record to 2-0. The right-handed junior from Coppell, Texas threw 6 2/3 innings and posted nine strikeouts. He allowed just one run on three singles and two walks, while setting down 11 straight Tigers early in the game.Â
Â
It is the first career weekly award for Jordan, though he was named pre-season all-conference, and the second career award for Kluber. It is the second time a Stetson pitcher has been honored by the A-Sun this year, as Chris Ingoglia took home Pitcher of the Week last week.Â

The Hatters host South Florida Tuesday night with a 7:00 p.m. first pitch at Melching Field at Conrad Park.Â
