Kennesaw, Ga. - Corey Kluber improved to 6-0 with a complete game shutout Friday night at Kennesaw State to lead Stetson to a 7-0 victory.  It was Kluber's first complete game of the year.
The Hatters (21-9, 5-2 A-Sun) knocked out 14 hits, while Kennesaw State (17-10, 2-2 A-Sun) managed just three singles.
Kluber retired the first 12 batters he faced before Jace Whitmer led off of the fifth with a single.  That was one of only three hits off the Texan and no Owl advanced past second base.  Kluber finished with seven strikeouts and walked only two.

Jeremy Cruz stroked three hits, including his first home run of the year.  It was a two-run shot to right-center in the top of the ninth.  Earlier in the game he had doubled off the top of the wall.  Shane Jordan also turned in a three-night.

Justin Bass started off a 3-run second inning for Stetson when he was hit by a pitch.  After Bass stole second, Brian Pruitt beat out an infield single and Bass scored when the ball was thrown away for an error.  A single and another hit batter set up an RBI bunt hit by Kevin Johnson.  Jordan then singled in Cruz for a 3-0 lead.

Brian Pruitt delivered a two-out single to center in the fifth that scored Braedyn Pruitt, giving the Hatters a four-run advantage.  It stayed a 4-0 game until Casey Frawley doubled in Bass, setting up Cruz's home run that sealed it.

Stetson concludes the series in Kennesaw with a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 2:00 p.m.Â
