DeLand, Fla. - The Stetson men's tennis team improved to 16-8 on the season with a rare doubleheader sweep at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center on Tuesday, recording identical 7-0 shutouts of Eckerd and Oberlin.  Only one match in either affair went to three sets.

Stetson cruised past Eckerd in the afternoon with senior Alex Hackett (Surrey, England) recording a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at #4 singles over Aaron Kleefield; sophomore Didrik Berg (Oslo, Norway) dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win on Court 3 over Erik Thunberg.  The Tritons entered the match ranked 45th nationally in NCAA Division II.

The nightcap saw the Hatters blast NCAA Division III Oberlin.  Berg, senior Chris Swanteson (Vaxjo, Sweden) and sophomore Dane Moran (Morpeth, Australia) all recorded 6-0, 6-0 singles wins over the Yeomen while junior Njal Stene (Oslo, Norway) and sophomore Erik Halaj (Hoover, Ala.) won by 6-0, 6-1 scores.

Stetson returns to Atlantic Sun Conference action at noon Friday when it visits 73rd-ranked North Florida.  A-Sun play then concludes the following morning across town at Jacksonville.
