The Stetson softball team dropped the rubber game of its Atlantic Sun Conference weekend series with the Marcer Bears, 12-4 in five innings Sunday afternoon at Patricia Wilson Field.

Freshman Kayla Drury went 2-for-2 to lead the Hatters (18-12, 1-5 A-Sun).

Randi Rea hit a three-run home run and Krista Kennedy hit a grand slam for Mercer (20-15, 9-3 A-Sun).

The game was delayed twice by lightning in the first two innings.

The Hatters will host Northern Kentucky in a three-game series next weekend. The teams will play a doubleheader Friday at 1 p.m. and a single game Saturday at noon.
