Fort Myers, Fla. -- Haley Tippett, McKenna Foster, and Kayla Weller each recorded double-doubles, but FGCU defeated visiting Stetson 3-1 (19-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-18) in an Atlantic Sun Conference match Saturday night at Alico Arena.
The Hatters (9-13, 3-5 A-Sun) hit .323 in their opening set win, but the Eagles (18-7, 7-1) took the final three frames to extend their win streak to eight.
Tippett led the Hatters with 15 kills and 15 digs, marking her ninth double-double of the season. Weller also notched her ninth double-double with 42 assists and 13 digs. Foster picked up her third double-double of the year with 10 kills and 13 digs.
In addition, Foster recorded her 500th career kill in the match while Weller picked up her 3500th career assist.
Also for Stetson, Madison Akins collected 11 kills and three blocks, Shelby Connors tallied eight kills and two blocks, while Madison Fitzsimmons posted seven kills and five blocks. Michelle Kastner picked up 14 digs at libero.
Stetson will host Jacksonville at 7 p.m. Friday.
