Stetson's Lucas Diniz was named to the first team while teammates Jeppe Moe, Ian McCauley and Julien Coulomb also earned post-season honors as the Atlantic Sun Conference unveiled its all-conference awards today.
Diniz, a senior midfielder, continues to pile up the post-season honors. He earns his first first-team nod one day after being named the A-Sun Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Last week Diniz was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District squad. He ranks second in the A-Sun with nine goals scored this season. Diniz scored a hat trick to open the season and was named NSCAA National Player of the Week. Diniz also finished with 19 points this season, second most in the conference.
Moe, a sophomore defender, earned a spot on the second team. Played in and started 14 games this season, recording one assist. He led a defense which ranked second in both goals allowed (22) and goals-against average (0.66).
Freshmen Julien Coulomb and Ian McCauley were voted to the All-Freshman team. McCauley, a defender, started all 16 games, recording one assist. Coulomb, a midfielder, played in 15 games, making nine starts. He also had one assist.
The Hatters finished the season with a 5-9-2 record. The complete all-conference team is attached.
