DeLAND, Fla. – Stetson Men's Soccer returns home on Saturday, October 25, for a pivotal ASUN matchup against Florida Gulf Coast at the Athletic Training Center. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. as the Hatters host Kick or Treat night in DeLand.
The Hatters enter the weekend 4-7-1 overall and 1-2-1 in ASUN play after dropping their last match to Jacksonville. However, Stetson has been strong at home this season, boasting a 2-0-1 record and remaining unbeaten in regular-season play at the ATC since September 24 of last year.
Offensively, the Hatters have scored 16 goals on 128 shots, led by Zsombor Pall, who has recorded three goals this season. Izzy Daniels and Andres Freire have each netted a pair, while Dominik Topolsky, Valentin Fontaine, and Daniel Makowem have each tallied a goal during conference play. In goal, Nicolo Radaelli has made 11 starts, totaling 39 saves on 145 shots faced and earning two shutouts.
FGCU enters Saturday's match 5-6-3 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play. The Eagles have struggled on the road this year, posting a 2-5-3 record away from home, but are coming off a 1-0 win over North Florida on October 18. Caio Oliveira leads the team with 13 points, collecting five goals and three assists on a team-high 19 shots. Salvador Martinez has also scored five times, while Edson Murguia and Pedro Arcoverde have each added three goals, with Murguia contributing three assists as well. In goal, Oliver Weng has made 10 starts, leading the ASUN in save percentage (.781) with 50 saves and 14 goals allowed on 145 shots faced. He's notched three clean sheets and holds a 4-4-2 record.
Despite earning a 3-1 victory in Fort Myers earlier this season, Stetson trails the all-time series 8-10-3. With both teams currently tied at four points in the ASUN standings, Saturday's match carries major implications for postseason seeding.
The match will not be streamed on ESPN+, but live stats will be available at GoHatters.com.
