Kennesaw, Ga. – Stetson produced a season-low 27 kills and fell 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-15) to host Kennesaw State in an Atlantic Sun Conference match Friday night at the KSU Convocation Center.
Haley Tippett led the Hatters (10-15, 4-7 A-Sun) with eight kills. Kayla Weller dished out 21 assists and Michelle Kastner picked up 11 digs.
Sydni Shelton recorded 12 kills to lead the Owls (15-7, 7-4 A-Sun).
KSU hit .322 for the match, while Stetson hit just .051.
Despite the setback, Stetson will have a chance to clinch a berth in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship with a win on Saturday at USC Upstate. The Spartans fell 3-0 to FGCU on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. with live coverage on WatchESPN.
