Stetson lacrosse faces its final road game of the 2015 regular season, 3 p.m., Saturday when the Hatters visit first-year program and Atlantic Sun Conference foe Mercer in Macon, Ga.
Not only is it the final road game for the Hatters (4-10 overall, 2-3 A-Sun), but a berth in the A-Sun Championship is on the line as well. If the Hatters defeat the Bears (4-8, 1-4), they clinch a spot in the championship. A loss means the Hatters need help with just one game remaining.
Stetson enters Saturday's game fresh off a come-from-behind win over Kennesaw State last Friday. The Hatters trailed 5-4 at halftime and found themselves on the wrong end of a 7-6 score early in the second half before scoring five straight goals to take control of the game. Hallie Merz had three goals and three assists, and seven different players scored at least once.
Mercer, a founding member of the A-Sun and currently a member of the Southern Conference, is an associate member of the Atlantic Sun for lacrosse. The Bears are hosting their final home game of the season, and have lost five of their last six games.
Saturday's game will be streamed live on the SoCon Digital Network and fans can also follow along via live stats. As always, be sure to check @StetsonLacrosse for in-game updates.
