Boca Raton, Fla. -- Playing its third match in less than 20 hours, the Stetson volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-18) to Bethune-Cookman Saturday morning at the FAU Invitational.
The Wildcats (2-1) registered 47 digs and 10 blocks to stymie the Hatters' offense, which hit just .037 for the match.
Madison Fitzsimmons and Madison Akins each had eight kills to lead the team. Sina Faulk picked up 10 digs.
The Hatters (1-2) will wrap up play at the FAU Invitational against Binghamton at 3:30 p.m.
Freshmen Experience
Six Hatter freshmen saw action in the match, including four in the starting line-up (Haley Tippett, Anna Bezhan, Sina Faulk and Madison Fitzsimmons). Roxy Lake and Morgan Eiland also made their Hatter debuts.
