Wilmington, N.C. -- The Stetson volleyball team dropped the finale of the UNCW Courtyard by Marriott Classic 3-0 (25-9, 25-17, 25-21) to the host Seahawks Saturday night at Hanover Hall.

The Hatters (5-7) posted a 2-1 record over the weekend tournament but had their three-game winning streak halted.

The Seahawks (9-3) played a strong defensive game, putting up 12.5 team blocks and holding Stetson to a .040 attack percentage.

Hatter setter Kayla Weller picked up 15 assists in the match, moving her past Amanda Lang into second place on the Stetson all-time career assists list.  The Hatter senior now has 3,167 helpers and is 165 assists shy of the school record.

McKenna Foster led the Hatters with eight kills, while Alexa Drost picked up 11 digs.

Nicole Lott led UNCW with 12 kills.

Stetson will visit Bethune-Cookman at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Moore Gym in Daytona Beach, Fla.

All-Tournament Selections
McKenna Foster and Haley Tippett were named to the all-tournament team.  It is the second all-tournament honors of the season for each.
