Lake Buena Vista, Fla. -- Stetson fell to 13th-ranked Missouri 13-1 to wrap up play at the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic Sunday afternoon at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Brittany Hawn drove in Lydia Kinney with a fourth-inning single to account for Stetson's lone run.
Brooke Hutto (3-1) started in the circle for the Hatters (6-4), while Tori Perkins and Curstin Taylor each pitched in relief.
Missouri improved to 6-0.
"Great hitters win ballgames, and that was a great hitting ballclub," Stetson head coach Frank Griffin said. "We had three freshmen that had an opportunity to pitch against one of the best hitting teams in the country. Hopefully it will be a learning experience for them, and we can get back and work on some things."
The Hatters will return home to face Oakland in a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch at Patricia Wilson Field is scheduled for 2 p.m.
