Hatters, North Florida Square Off on Saturday

Stetson men's basketball returns to the Edmunds Center on Saturday for an Atlantic Sun Conference showdown with defending league champion North Florida. Tip-off is at 4 p.m. The game can be seen on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app, and can be heard in Volusia County on WSBB AM 1230 and 1490 or worldwide on myam1230.com.
 
Three of the ASUN's top eight scorers will be on display Saturday. UNF's Dallas Moore not only leads the league in scoring at 24.0 points per game, but he is the NCAA's active career scoring leader with 2,178 points. Stetson's Derick Newton is sixth in the conference at 17.5 points per game and has scored 30 and 31 in his last two games. Teammate Divine Myles is eighth at 15.7 points.
 
The Hatters (8-14 overall, 1-5 ASUN) lost, 103-92, at Jacksonville on Wednesday. Across town that same night the Ospreys (9-14, 4-2) were edged, 86-82, by FGCU in a showdown for first place.
 
Prior to the game, Myles and senior Brian Pegg will be honored for becoming the 33rd and 34th players, respectively, in program history to reach 1,000 career points.

News & Notes
•Luke Doyle has 51 3-pointers this season after making four against Jacksonville on Wednesday. He is the third player in program history to make 50 or more in consecutive seasons. He set the Stetson season record with 72 last season.
•Angel Rivera is 10 assists shy of becoming the 5th player in program history to reach 400 in a career
•Stetson and UNF are meeting for the 25th time in a series which dates to 1993. UNF leads the series, 13-11.
• Doyle and UNF's Aaron Bodager were teammates at Oviedo's Hagerty High School
