Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Athletic Communications

Hatters Draw with Bisons

Stetson and Lipscomb battled to a 1-1 draw in ASUN Conference women's soccer action, Sunday at the Athletic Training Center in DeLand.
 
The Hatters (6-2-3 overall, 1-0-2 ASUN) kept their unbeaten streak alive and it now stands at eight games. Stetson hasn't lost since a 2-1 defeat to Bryant on Aug. 25.
 
Sophomore Lindsey Parent sent the game into overtime when she scored her third goal of the year in the 78th minute, knotting the game at 1-1. Abbie Camargo and Brianna Camargo assisted on the goal.
 
Lipscomb took a 1-0 lead on Hope Van Ryckeghem's goal in the 65th minute, scoring on a scramble in front of the goal.
 
Stetson dominated play over the first 45 minutes, out-shooting Lipscomb by a 12-5 margin, and they out-shot the Bison,s 26-12, for the game.
 
Stetson goalkeeper Emily Plotz made three saves on 12 shots, while Lipscomb keeper Kate Mason made seven saves.
 
The Hatters next visit USC Upstate, 7 p.m., Friday.
