Guericnkx finished fifth in her flight with a 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 against Florida State's Lucie Prochazkova.

Viaud was a 6-2, ret., winner over Karen Romero of Bethune-Cookman, and Renault earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Ioana Minca of FIU, a former No. 22-ranked junior and junior French Open quarterfinalist.

The Hatters next compete at the ITA Regionals, Oct. 19-23 in Athens, Ga.
