DeLand, Fla. -- Carlyle Nusbaum posted 31 kills to help lead Lipscomb to a 3-1 (22-25, 25-14, 25-23, 25-12) victory over Stetson Saturday night at the Edmunds Center.

The Hatters (3-23, 2-12) opened the match with bang, hitting .444 en route to a 25-22 win in the first set. The offense struggled the rest of the way, however, as the Bisons (15-12, 8-6) took the final three sets.

Hao Jin led Stetson with nine kills while Rebecca Ingram added eight. Naina Ivanova collected 31 assists while Chelcie Spence picked up 13 digs. Jin, Ingram and Shelby Connors assisted on four blocks apiece.

Connors played her final match to cap a brilliant four-year career. The Avon, Ind. native finished with 660 career kills and 373 career blocks, the second-highest total for a Hatter in the rally scoring era.

Stetson completed its 2017 season with a record of 3-23.
