Hatters Visit UNF on Saturday

Stetson men's basketball returns to Atlantic Sun Conference action when the Hatters visit North Florida, 7 p.m., Saturday in Jacksonville. The game can be seen on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app, and can be heard in Volusia County on WSBB AM 1230 and 1490 or worldwide on myam1230.com.
 
The Hatters (10-15 overall, 2-6 ASUN) have won two of their last three games, including an 88-74 win over UNF last Saturday in DeLand. Stetson trailed by nine at halftime against the Ospreys, and then erupted for 56 points in the second half en route to their second conference win of the season.
 
On Wednesday, the Hatters downed Bethune-Cookman, 76-67, behind 29 points from Divine Myles. Derick Newton scored 16 points as the sophomore cracked the 1,000-point barrier for his career.
 
North Florida is led by NCAA active career scoring leader Dallas Moore, who also currently leads the ASUN in scoring at 23.3 points per game. The Ospreys are looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
 
News & Notes
•Sophomore Derick Newton (1,005) became the 3rd Hatter this season and 35th in program history to reach 1,000 career points when he scored 16 on Wednesday at Bethune-Cookman. Divine Myles (1,209) and Brian Pegg (1,036) each reached the milestone earlier this season.
•Divine Myles continued his impressive offensive surge on Wednesday, scoring a career-high 29 points on 12 of 20 shooting at Bethune-Cookman. Over the last 6 games, Myles is averaging 19.5 points while shooting 57.3 percent (43-75).
•Luke Doyle has 61 3-pointers this season after making 2 on Wednesday at Bethune-Cookman. He is the third player in program history to make 50 or more in consecutive seasons. He is closing in on his own school season record of 72 three-pointers, set last year.
•Angel Rivera missed his first career game on Wednesday. He had played in each of Stetson's previous 89 games.
