A more than six-and-a-half hour weather delay on the first day of the ASUN Baseball Championship at Melching Field has forced a change in the tournament schedule.
Top-seeded Jacksonville and No. 6 Lipscomb returned to complete their opening game at 7 p.m. after play was suspended by lightning at 12:30. Following the completion of the game between the Dolphins and Bisons, No. 3 FGCU and No. 4 North Florida will meet.
The game scheduled for 7 p.m. between second-seeded Stetson and No. 5 Kennesaw State will now be played on Thursday morning with a first pitch scheduled for 10 a.m. Play will then continue with the three games that were originally scheduled for Thursday.
Fans who had purchased tickets to attend the Stetson-KSU game on Wednesday night will have those tickets honored on Thursday morning.
All of the games in the tournament will be broadcast on ESPN3 and fans can also follow the action by visiting
