UCF scored twice in the first half and Stetson was unable to find the back of the net as the Knights handed the Hatters a 2-0 loss, Sunday at UCF Soccer Complex in Orlando.

The Knights (1-1-0) took a 1-0 lead on Morgan Ferrara's goal in the 17th minute. It remained a 1-0 game until Jessica Taylor scored in the 43rd minute.

Both teams had several opportunities in the second half but neither could get a shot to fall.

UCF out-shot Stetson, 14-2. Hatters' goalkeeper Emily Plotz made four saves, while UCF's tandem of Vera Varis and Chloe N'Gazi combined for the shutout.
