The Stetson women's basketball team will play its conference home opener Saturday afternoon as the Hatters host the USC Upstate Spartans.  Tip-off at the Edmunds Center is scheduled for 1 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN3 and WSBB radio.

The men will play the second game of the doubleheader against USC Upstate at 4 p.m.

Stetson (9-8, 0-1 ASUN) is looking to bounce back from Saturday's 80-40 setback at FGCU.  Brittney Chambers and Jordan Tully each scored 11 points for the Hatters.

USC Upstate (6-10, 1-0) is tied for first place after opening with a 95-57 win at NJIT.  A'Lexxus Davis and Riley Popplewell each scored 17 points to lead the Spartans.

Stetson leads the all-time series 16-6 over USC Upstate. The Hatters won all three meetings last season, including a 70-49 win in the ASUN quarterfinal.  Stetson is 9-2 all-time against Upstate in DeLand.

General admission tickets start at just $7 and can be purchased online (GoHatters.com/tix) or at the Edmunds Center box office.  Stetson students, faculty, and staff are admitted free with a valid ID.

Evan Weston and DeAsia Beal will call the action on ESPN3, while Luke Mauro will carry the broadcast on WSBB AM1230, AM1490, and online at myam1230.com. Live stats, the Stetson women's basketball twitter feed (@StetsonWBB), and the HatCheck text messaging system will have live updates as well.

De Ja Vu?
Last season, the Hatters started ASUN play 0-1 before winning the next 13 in a row to win the ASUN regular season title.


Home Sweet Home
The Hatters are 6-1 at home this season, averaging 71.6 points and shooting .455 from the floor.  Brittney Chambers has been fantastic at home, averaging 18.1 ppg and shooting 50.6 percent from the field.

Home Cooking
Overall, the Hatters are 91-13 (.875) over their past 104 home games.  Stetson is also 47-9 (.839) over its past 56 conference home games.

Scoring 65
The Hatters are 7-0 when scoring 65 points or more in a game this season, but just 2-8 when scoring 64 points or less.
