Balanced Hatters Blank Georgia State, 3-0

Erwan Colas scored a goal and added an assist as Stetson defeated Georgia State, 3-0, Tuesday in Atlanta, Ga., in the Hatters' final non-conference game of the season.
 
The win snaps Stetson's modest two-game losing streak and improves the Hatters to 5-6-1. Georgia State, which entered the match ranked among the nation's leader in goals-against average, falls to 6-4-1.
 
Freshman Lewis Scattergood gave the Hatters an early lead. His header in the 16th minute put the Hatters up, 1-0. Aidan Wixted was credited with the assist.
 
Gabriel Diniz gave the Hatters a 2-0 lead just before halftime. Colas dribbled into the box from the left side and found Diniz in front of the goal for an easy score in the 40th minute.
 
Colas put the game away in the 83rd minute when he ran past the Panthers defense and scored from the left side. Chris DeGance was credited with an assist as Stetson's lead swelled to 3-0.
 
Braeden Luna turned in a clean sheet in goal for the second time this season for the Hatters. The senior made seven saves while facing 13 shots.
 
Stetson managed 14 shots, with five on-goal.
 
The Hatters resume ASUN Conference play when the visit NJIT, 4 p.m., Saturday.
