Two former conference rivals will square off Wednesday night at the Edmunds Center when the Stetson Hatters host the UCF Knights.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN+.

The Hatters (0-1) dropped their season opener at Tulsa last Tuesday, 55-54.  McKenna Beach scored a game-high 20 points, and Megan Vincent pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds.

The Knights (1-0) are coming off a 61-58 win at Pitt on Wednesday.  Kay Kay Wright led UCF with 19 points and Sydnee McDonald added 14.

The two former ASUN rivals will be meeting for the 63rd time overall (UCF leads 34-28) and for the first time since the 2017 WNIT.  The Hatters hold a 15-12 edge in the series in DeLand.

"They are a good team. They have a lot of kids back that were injured from last year," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said about UCF. "They rebound really well.  I think rebounding is going to be a big key to the game.  We also have to take care of the ball.  If we can limit our turnovers and not give them easy baskets, I think that will help us.  It is a good game for us to play, and I am just happy we are at home."

The Hatters have been outstanding at home over the past seven seasons, posting a 92-16 (.852) record during that stretch.  Stetson is also 46-5 (.902) in their past 51 non-conference home games, including a 16-1 mark in the month of November.

Tickets start at just $7 for general admission and can be purchased online or at the Edmunds Center Ticket Office.  Stetson students, faculty and staff are admitted free with a Stetson ID.

In addition to the video coverage, live stats, Twitter (@StetsonWBB), and the HatCheck text messaging service will provide live updates as well.
