Hatters Sign 6-5 Middle Kaylee Oscarson

DeLand, Fla. -- Stetson University indoor volleyball head coach Yang Deng has announced the signing of Kaylee Oscarson (Jensen Beach, Fla.) to a National Letter of Intent for 2019.

A 6-foot-5 middle blocker, Oscarson collected 254 kills and 185 blocks as a senior at Jensen Beach High School, helping lead her team to a district championship.  She earned TC Palm Athlete of the Week honors this past season.  As a junior, she helped the Falcons win both a district and regional championship and earn a trip to the state final four.  Her team won the Class 6A state championship in 2015.

"Kaylee is a good size middle with a ton of potential athletically," Deng said.  "With a proper strength training program, she should give us a solid presence in the middle.  I am looking forward to seeing her development over the next four years."

Oscarson is Stetson's first signee for 2019.

The Hatters went 16-13 in 2018 and qualified for the ASUN Championship (No. 5 seed) for the first time since 2015.
