Wright State Rallies Past Hatters

Nashville, Tenn. -- Wright State outscored Stetson 38-17 in the second half to post a 57-44 victory Saturday afternoon in the second game of the Challenge in Music City at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

Sarah Sagerer led the Hatters (0-4) with 12 points, while Jon'Nita Henry scored a season-high 10.

The Hatters shot 52 percent in first half and led 27-19 at the break, but a 6-for-26 effort in the second half proved costly.

"It was the tale of two halves," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said.  "In the second half, we had wide open looks and just couldn't score, and then you have to get some stops.  I thought we were in a good position at halftime. Wright State came out and played much more aggressive in the second half, and we just quit scoring."

Stetson made eight 3-pointers in the game, including three by Henry.  Bianca Fizouaty added seven points off the bench.  Megan Vincent recorded a career-high and tournament record five blocks.

Mackenzie Taylor scored 17 points to lead the Raiders (3-3).

"We just have to keep getting better," Bria said.  "We are still trying to figure a lot out."

Stetson will return to action at 1 p.m. ET Sunday against Hofstra.

Notes: Stetson outscored Wright State 15-6 in the second quarter ... The Raiders held a 53-29 advantage on the glass and a 19-6 edge in second chance points ... Wright State shot 21 free throws while the Hatters shot just four ... Stetson scored 23 points off the bench ...
