Senior tight end
Donald Parham earned his second post-season honor of the year when he was named to the prestigious Walter Camp All-America team over the weekend.
First selected in 1889, the the team was originally selected by the former Yale player and coach who is credited with establishing many of the rules for the game of football that we all know so well - including setting 11 men on a side, the point values for touchdowns and field goals and the starting of plays at the line of scrimmage.
The Walter Camp Football Foundation has carried on the tradition of selecting All-America teams at the end of each season since 1967.
Parham is the second player from Stetson University to earn All-America honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Former Hatter
Donald Payne was named to the team in 2014 and again in 2016.
For Parham, who leads both FCS and FBS football in both receptions per game (9.4) and receiving yards per game (146.6) this year, this is the second All-American honor this year. He was also named to the Associate Press All-America first team.
Parham was joined on the Walter Camp team by fellow Pioneer Football League players Michael Bandy (WR, San Diego) and Will Warner (DB, Drake).
More All-America teams, including from STATS FCS on Tuesday, will be announced in the coming days. To be considered a consensus All-American, Parham will also need selection to the STATS FCS, American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), HERO Sports and Phil Steele teams.
